2008 Holiday Benefit Auction

OWN A PIECE OF STOREFRONT!
This fall, Storefront is holding a benefit auction of four of the original cast concrete letters designed by Steven Holl and Vito Acconci for Storefront's facade in 1993. The letters sat on the cornice above Storefront's facade from 1993 until its renovation in Summer 2008. Each one is a unique piece of New York's contemporary architectural history.
Bidding starts at $1,000 for each of the letters. To make a bid, please send an email to RSVP@storefrontnews.org. In your email, please be sure to specify your full name, address and contact telephone number.
Current bid levels will be updated daily on this page. Please check back daily for the latest information. The letters will be shipped on Dec. 21 (pending cleared payment) - shipping will be charged at cost to the highest bidder.

This "&" is a particularly unique piece in that it is the only logogram in the set (all the others are letters of the alphabet). It is in excelent condition. The concrete surface is relatively clean.

This letter "T" is in excellent condition. The concrete surface is relatively clean. Some cracks can be seen.

The letter "F" is in very good condition. The concrete surface shows remnants of plaster and has some minor cracks.
